Description: The richest cats in Paris (Berloiz, Marie, Toulouse and their mother, Duchess), find themselves in trouble when the Edgar, the butler, tries to get rid of them after discovering that their owner, Madame, is leaving them all of her money. The Aristocats’ adventure includes meeting unexpected friends who help them find their way home. O’Malley and the Alley Cats, Napoleon and his pack of dogs, a couple of geese and a mouse work together to save the treasured pets.

Thomas O/Malley: Charming and charismatic lead alley cat. He is a free spirit with no attachments but secretly wants to be a part of a family.

Duchess: Elegant and nurturing mother of the Aristokittens.

Edgar: Madam’s villainous butler. He is allergic to the pampered cats and secretly hates tending to them.

Toulouse and Berlioz: Aristocat kittens and Duchess’ sons. Toulouse wants to be tougher than he really is. Together they tend to bicker with their sister, Marie.

Marie: Aristocat kitten and Duchess’ daughter. She is the youngest kitten and a charmer like her mother.

Roquefort: A naïve and ultimately brave house mouse who overcomes his fears to help the Aristocats.

General Napoleon and Private Lafayette: Two country dogs in a comedic power struggle throughout the show. Napoleon is the power-hungry leader and Lafayette is the not-so-subservient private.

Vichy and Soisse: Two privates in the dog army who report to Napoleon.

Amelia and Abigail Gabble: Two funny and bold geese sisters who rescue O’Malley from the river and lead the way out of the country and into Paris.

Madame: Kind and eccentric human owner of the Aristocats. She loves her pets more than anything in the world.

Scat Cat: The ultra hip and jazzy leader of the alley cats.

Featured Alley Cats (Hep, Mad, Slick and Wacky): Story tellers that set up the scenes and comment on the action. Personalities will be developed by the actors based on their names.

Alley Cats: The chorus who will have a lot of fun singing and dancing (practice moving like a cat). Alley cats do not need to audition and just need to sign-up Saturday morning (must be at least 8 years old).

Rehearsal Schedule: The first read-though is scheduled for Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 10:00am-12:00pm. Weekly rehearsal schedule will begin in January. A pre-set calendar will be available at auditions.

Production Run: March 29, 30 and 31; April 4, 5, 6 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20

Director Note(s): This show is a great opportunity for children who are new to community theater and a fun way to learn about the process and gain experience. Alley cats and kittens will be cast as extra’s and the chorus. Auditions are not required for these parts. Sign-Up on Saturday morning, December 8, 2018 between 8:30 and 9:00am. Children must be at least 8 years old to sign-up and are encouraged to stay and watch some of the auditions, so they get a better understanding of what it is like. Rehearsal schedule will be lighter for these parts.
